A new study confirms that general health and wellness are the top reasons why consumers are taking supplements. National Institutes of Health data reports that dietary supplement users understand that taking vitamins and supplements are an investment in your daily health. And according to a paper published in JAMA Internal Medicine, supplement users are enjoying the benefit of lower BMI (Body Mass Index), are drinking fewer alcoholic beverages, exercising more, and are more likely not to smoke than people who don’t take supplements.
“This study is very encouraging and confirms the shift that has taken place among vitamin and supplement users,” says Rob Maru, Chief Innovation Officer at Reserveage Nutrition.
