It All Began With a Glass of French Wine

Naomi Whittel was having dinner in the South of France with her cousin, Dr. Eric Lafforgue, when their conversation turned to The French Paradox. Why do the French, who enjoy a rich diet filled with wine, pastries and cheese, also maintain good health and slim figures? The answer, they theorized, may be their daily consumption of red wine, which contains Resveratrol, a powerful antioxidant that has been shown in studies to help support the “longevity gene.” At that moment, the cousins determine to find a way to harness the antioxidant power of Resveratrol. It was there in the South of France that Reserveage™ Nutrition and the first four Resveratrol products were born, launching in March of 2009.

Naomi’s health and wellness journey began long before this—going back to her childhood in Europe. She was raised in a family of scientists committed to biodynamic farming, which influenced her passion for natural products. This led to a quest to learn about the healthiest cultures in the world—beginning with the French, and later, with the Kuna indigenous people of coastal Panama, whose sacred practice of drinking five cups of rich cocoa a day inspired our CocoaWell® brand of cocoa-based supplements.
