Japanese Knotweed provides the concentrated source of resveratrol and its glucoside piceid. Many resveratrol supplements now contain Japanese Knotweed and use its scientific name (Polygonum cuspidatum). Although the plant is native to China, Japan, and Korea, it is now grown worldwide. It is a very robust plant, able to adapt to a variety of different climates.

Japanese Knotweed is the important source of trans-Resveratrol. Resveratrol may be attributed to creating ‘The French Paradox’ — the fact that the French enjoy good health despite their rich diet.*

Japanese Knotweed is native to Japan, China and Taiwan. For thousands of years the herb has been used medicinally for a multitude of reasons. Its roots are used as a vegetable source as well.

Japanese Knotweed is harvested in the spring and autumn. We only source our finest wild crafted Japanese Knotweed.
